She went to George Richmond's studio on 13th, 15th and 24th June to have her portrait drawn.
There was a party in her honour at Thackeray's home in Kensington
She visited the Great Exhibition at the Crystal Palace.
On 7th June, she saw Rachel as Adrienne in Scribe's Adrienne Lecouvreur. On 21st June, she saw Rachel as Camille in Corneille's Les Trois Horaces at the Theáatre Français.
On 25th June, she and George Smith visited the phrenologist T. P. Browne under the names Mr and Miss Fraser.
She attended a performance by Charles Dickens's band of amateur actors in the Hanover Rooms, London.
She returned to Haworth on 27th June
She visited the Bank of England and the Royal Exchange.
She visited Newgate Prison, Pentonville Prison, and the Foundling Hospital, to gather background for her Story of Willie Ellin
