Caygill's Walk, Halifax, he was attacked by 3 tall men.
One seized him by the throat and another put dirt into his mouth.
He was robbed of 8d in copper [coins] and 8 lbs of potatoes before
the men made their escape
On 8th March 1889, Edwin Blakey of the Duke of Wellington,
Halifax was fined for having his house open during prohibited
hours
