Edwin died November 1920.
In 1927, Louisa sold his collection of 488 book illustrations,
original works of art by over 100 professional artists,
to Towneley Hall Art Gallery & Museum, Burnley, for £350.
After being on display at Towneley from 1927 to 1933, the collection
went into storage and did not re-appear for exhibition until 1984.
The book illustrations are again regularly loaned out to other museums

piece of plate, a gold snuff-box, and a purse containing a sum of
money.

She was a bank railway shareholder [1861]

Jane died 5th February 1897.

the negotiations for national agreements which then obtained in the
leather industry.
He helped found the union and also helped found a Friendly Society to
provide small pensions to the unemployed during the depression.
For many years he was on the management committee of the National
Leather Trades Federation.
Until his retirement in 1946, he was employed in the card currying
department of Fleming, Birkby & Goodall.
He was President of the Hartshead Moor Working Men's Club for
21 years.
He also served on the Heavy Woollen District Club & Institute
Committee.
He was also involved in the Mechanics Institute
On 14th January 1904, he married Eleanora (Nellie) Barber at Halifax Parish Church.
