He was reported missing [27th May 1918], and was later found to have been taken prisoner.

His photograph appears with a report of his story in the Halifax Courier [3rd August 1918].

He is remembered on the Memorial at Saint Mary the Virgin, Elland.

He survived the War.

In [Q2] 1927, he married Agnes Mary Corcoran [1900-1981] in Halifax.
