Held extensive lands in Lancashire and in Yorkshire.

At his death an Inquisition Post Mortem was held. This became known as The Great de Lacy Inquisition.

It was unusual in that Henry held no lands in fee in chief of the King, but he held all his lands and tenements in the country of Lancaster immediately of the King by the service of 14 Knights' Fees and ½ part of Knights Fee and by the rent of 105s 8d payable yearly, etc. It is dated 16 February 4 Edward II.

An example of the great detail of this Inquisition is as follows:
