Stansfield Hall, Todmorden – aka Stansfeld Hall – is mentioned in 1385 and was possibly built by Thomas Stansfield.
Plaster work over a fireplace bore the arms of the Stansfield family and of the Lassell family of Lascelles Hall, Kirkheaton.

In 1862, Fielden commissioned John Gibson to design a large Gothic Revival extension to the house. In 1880, it was largely rebuilt.
In 1871, Gibson built a similar house for Fielden at Nutfield Priory in Surrey.
The Hall is now converted into 5 private dwellings.
The Stansfield monolith is nearby.
After Joshua Fielden's death the lodge – which stood at the entrance to the drive – became a private residence. The lodge was demolished in the 1960s
