and fought in the Dardanelles.
He was hospitalised in Egypt & Malta, and sent to Essex as under
age, then to Ireland.
He then transferred to the
2nd Battalion
Cameronian (Scottish Rifles).
He was listed as missing from 24th March 1918, and was later found to
have been killed by machine gun fire while he was a runner at Voyens
near Nesle
[24th March 1918] (aged 20).
