The Book contained many notable signatures – including Percy Shaw, Wilfred Pickles, Eric Portman, Walter Swale – and many visiting entertainers and dignitaries, officers, soldiers, airmen and general visitors to the town.
The book is currently missing, probably a consequence of the turnover of incumbents in recent years
