Grave of Robert Allenson & Family

Here lyeth ye body of Iudith, wife of Robert Allenson, of Ou?? who was buried the 9th day of Novem ber in 1685.     Also William, his son, buried the 2nd day of December 1688.     And also Robert, his father & husband to the abovesaid Iudith, was buried the 28th day of November 1691.     Also Iudith Stead, the mother of the said Iudith Allenson, who was buried the 13th day of September 1697.     Also lohn, the son of the aforsaid Robert, was here interred the 15th of May A.D. 1711. in the 42 year of his age. Also Iudeth, the daughter of Iames Allenson, M.A., was here interred 15th Iune A.D. 1718 in the 9th year of her age.     And also Anthony, the son of the aforesaid Robert Allenson, was here interred the 3rd day of October A:D.: 1718 in the 37th year of his age.     Also Francis, the son of ye aforesaid Robert, died the 28th and was interr'd the 30 of Iuly 1720 in the 38th year of his age. Under this marble is likewise interr'd the body of the Reverend and learned Iames Allenson, late Rector of Thornton in Craven who died the 26th and was buried the 29th day of November 1730.
