The early bottle on the left is thought to have used rubber prints which are neither crisp nor clear, and are easily smudged.On the later bottle in the middle, there is a small star just the inside the base of the shield. This bottle appears to have been well stamped with what I think is a copper plate print, leaving it crisp and clear.
The large star in the same position on the later example on right seems to carry forward the design with the star from that on the middle one
