A postcard with the caption Cannon at Wheatley Valley - showing cannon which stood on the lookout area at Shroggs Park in the 1930s.

Steve Ainsworth tells me that he has seen a similar photo of the cannon dated 1908, so it (probably) served in the Boer War and (possibly) also in the Great War
