Halifax Home Guard

This is a photograph of the Halifax Home Guard – or at least part of the Home Guard, maybe a platoon.

My father, Leonard Kershaw is second from right on the back row.

I believe he spent the war defending the Albert Reservoir against attacks by Nazi paratroopers
