Friday, 3rd January 1913: Bus service started to Siddal
Saturday, 25th January 1913: New institute opened at Mountain, Queensbury, by Mr John Speak, who paid for it
Monday, 27th January 1913: Great "White Slave Trade" meeting for women at the Victoria Hall, Halifax
Monday, 3rd March 1913: New Wesleyan Church and Sunday school opened at Salterhebble, costing £3,500
Monday, 17th March 1913: Extension of Bradford trams from Wyke to Bailiff Bridge
Wednesday, 2nd April 1913: Halifax Town Council agreed to buy Green Lane Hall, Shelf, for use as a sanatorium for sufferers of consumption
Saturday, 5th April 1913: Sod cutting ceremony for the new St John's Church, Rastrick
Saturday, 12th April 1913: New Pellon church opened by Lady Horsfall
Tuesday, 20th May 1913: Foundation stones of the new Brighouse Ambulance Hall laid by the Dowager Countess of Desart and Mrs Smith of Lands House
Saturday, 31st May 1913: Consecration of St Matthew's Church, Northowram
Saturday, 14th June 1913: Memorial tablets to the essayist John Foster unveiled at Hope Baptist Church, Hebden Bridge, and Manor House, Wadsworth
Tuesday, 17th June 1913: Bear escaped from Halifax Zoo
Tuesday, 24th June 1913: Celebration to mark the 400th anniversary of Coley Church
Wednesday, 2nd July 1913: New public baths costing £5,700 at Brighouse opened by the Mayor
Sunday, 20th July 1913: New sanctuary at St Bernard's Roman Catholic Church, Halifax, opened and blessed by Cardinal Logue, Primate of All Ireland
Tuesday, 29th July 1913: Closure announced of Halifax Eye, Ear & Throat Hospital, opened in 1886
Saturday, 2nd August 1913: After a strike lasting 10 weeks the boiler-makers of Halifax decided to return to work
Saturday, 2nd August 1913: New village bowling green opened at Luddendenfoot
Tuesday, 2nd September 1913: Keir Hardie MP visited Halifax to mark the coming of age of the Halifax Independent Labour Party
Thursday, 2nd October 1913: Halifax Antiquarian Society presented the Corporation with a large piece of plaster work dating back to 1670 from the old farmhouse at Binroyd, near Sterne Mills, Norland
Saturday, 4th October 1913: New organ and memorial window unveiled at Bethel United Methodist Church, Brighouse
Saturday, 4th October 1913: Foundation stone laid at the new St John's Church, Rastrick
Sunday, 12th October 1913: New pulpit presented at Brighouse Parish Church by Matthew Wood, in memory of his wife
Friday, 21st November 1913: Halifax Madrigal Society command performance before the King
Sunday, 7th December 1913: Fire damage of £20,000 at Hebble Mills, Halifax, owned by John Crossley & Company
Friday, 12th December 1913: First speech day at the new Brighouse Secondary School for Girls
Friday, 12th December 1913: New drill hall at Arden Road, Halifax opened
