• Thursday, 26th June 1930: New Conservative headquarters in Prescott Street, Halifax, opened

• Tuesday, 15th July 1930: Halifax Town AFC loss of £357 on the year

• Tuesday, 5th August 1930: Halifax believed to be the only town in England supplying dustbins free to households

• Tuesday, 5th August 1930: Warley Moor reservoir to be repaired at a cost of £33,014 after being described as dilapidated and fast becoming derelict

• Thursday, 7th August 1930: Boy drowned in River Ryburn at Triangle; body recovered eight days later at Brighouse.

• Wednesday, 20th August 1930: Knur and spell versus golf contest at Denholme

• Saturday, 30th August 1930: Tetley memorial park opened at Bradshaw

• Tuesday, 2nd September 1930: Ovenden woman gassed in London hotel and a Mytholmroyd man found unconscious. A suicide pact was alleged and he was charged with murder but acquitted at the Old Bailey. He was sent to prison for twelve months for attempted suicide

• Wednesday, 3rd September 1930: Tenders worth £26,046 accepted for construction of new shops and offices at Bull Green

• Wednesday, 1st October 1930: Consistory Court into proposed demolition of King Cross Church

• Friday, 3rd October 1930: Miss Nettleton, the missing Halifax missionary, beheaded by rebels in China

• Tuesday, 14th October 1930: Arnold Binns, of Hebden Bridge, completed the journey from John o' Groats to Lands End on roller skates, which he started on September 18

• Tuesday, 21st October 1930: Centenary of Halifax Literary and Philosophical Society

• Monday, 24th November 1930: Fire at Salterhebble cotton mill

• Tuesday, 25th November 1930: Murder verdict against person or persons unknown following newly born baby found at Siddal
