And now by the oath of Richard de Sherburne, Richard de Townley, Robert de Radclif of Osbaldeston, Nicholas Botiller, Thomas de Rigmaden, Jon de Radcliffe of Ordesale, Jacobi de Hulton, Robert de Longley, Nicholas de Croft, John Nowell of Read, John Stansfeld and William de Oxclif who say that Richard de Bradley and Richard de Ribchester, chaplain are seized of messuages, land and meadow and by a certain charter which supports this, by these words know that Richard de Bradley and Richard de Ribchester, chaplain, surrender to Katerine who was the wife of Thomas son of Roger son of Laurence de Knoll all messuages and land insofaras they held of the gift of the said Thomas in the Villa of Chepyn to be held by the said Katerine and heirs begotten of Thomas and without then remain to Edmund son of William de Legh and male heirs and without then remain to Thomas Quithyngdale and heirs male, etc.Witnesses: Roger de Edeleston Richard de Knoll, William de Syngelton, Laurence de Helme, Robert de Knoll and others.
